[Maldives] Trip Report : AUG.25-31, 2018, Male and Baa Atoll Route Vol.3

[Maldives] Trip Report : AUG.25-31, 2018, #Male and #Baa Atoll Route Vol.3

The day 4, the 1st dive of the day was at Kihaa Thila in the Baa Atoll. There are not many places to see soft corals in the Baa Atoll. However, this Kihaa Thila is different. The scooped shape overhang was thick with soft corals. We enjoyed Anthias and Fusiliers.  As we were moving to the 2nd dive spot, we were very lucky to find a Whale Shark! All we jumped in the water with snorkeling.  Yay! The 2nd dive was at Dhonfanu Thila. We successfully saw the Giant Trevallies’ and Bluefin Trevallies’ attacking into the school of Bartail fusiliers. It is exciting to see those big amount of fish dashing and changing direction suddenly. It will never be boring us. Besides, we encountered with Manta Rays, Dogtooth Tunas and Napoleon. The 3rd dive was at Dharabandhoo Manta Point, aiming for the frenzy Manta Rays again. Unfortunately we didin’t make it happen two days in a row, but it was still very much enjoyable with Dogtooth Tunas, Nurse Sharks and many Macros including Longnose Rockshrimps and Starry dragonets. Oh my cuties!

The day 5, the 1st and the 2nd dive of the day were at Nelivaru-Haa in the Baa Atoll. The visibility was great to enjoy Anthias near the reef and Bluefin Trevallies in the middle.  At the sand area, we found a lot of Dracula Shrimp Gobbies and Aurora Partner Gobbies. They held poses for us to take pictures! At the end, we observed a cute Red-spotted Blenny in the shore. The 3rd dive was at Dhonfanu Thila. In a strong current, the Fusiliers welcomed us as always. Then, GT, Bluefin Trevallies and Dogtooth Tunas also attacked the Fusiliers as always. Plus, Grey Reef Sharks and Napoleon appeared and gave us a perfect conclusion of this trip.  And we celebrated two of the guests made a great their 400th dive with us on the boat! Congratulations!

Thank you all very much for joining us and also for making this trip amazing! Hope to see you all again!
