#Maldives Trip Report : NOV. 25-DEC.01 2017, #Male-#Ari-#Vaavu Route Vol.4

The day 4, Maamigili Out in South Ari Atoll was the point for the 1st dive of the day. We started searching for Whale Sharks in the early morning on the surface and underwater as well. Unfortunately we could not spot any. Gave up and had a breakfast, then we found it! We jumped off the boat with snorkel immediately after we got the word. Luckily the Whale Shark we found moved slowly toward us. So we all got to snorkel with it. Hooray! The 2nd dive was at Sun Island Out, surely, aimed for scuba diving with Whale Sharks! We successfully located one. And swim with it! It seemed a little different from the one we just snorkeled with. Anyway, we made it both snorkel and dive with a Whale Shark. The 3rd dive was a night dive at Alimatha Jetty in Vaavu Atoll. This was the first time for me to experience here. OMG! It was such a chaos! I mean, very exciting. Way beyond my expectation!! Dozens of Tawny Nurse Sharks passing by very aggressively, Sting Rays were flying by, Giant Trevallies were swirling around. It’s hard to describe. The dive time was over before you know it. The air temperature was 26-30 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The 3mm wetsuit was recommended.  To be continued…
