[#Mexico] Trip Report : DEC.14- 23, 2019, #Socorro Islands Vol.1

Day 1, the check dive was at Las Cuevitas. The water temperature was 27 deg.C. The visibility was 8-10 meters. The delayed arrival to the site allowed us only one dive on that day. We found big Lobsters here and there at the sand area. Besides, a Giant Electric Ray, a Cortez Flounder and a Diamond Stingray were seen.

Day 2, we dove all 4 dives of the day at El Canyon. The water temperature was 26-27 deg.C. The visibility was 15-20 meters. It was such a Hammerhead Sharks’ day! We saw as many as 100-150 of Hammerhead Sharks!! And they not only came back and forth but also  made a big tornado below us!  We were very lucky to see such a big school of them for a while. Besides, other kind of Sharks, Bigeye Trevallies, Bluefin Trevallies, Rainbow Runners and Black Jacks were there. After all, this is what makes El Canyon so special for divers! To be continued…
