[#Maldives] Trip Report : SEP. 13-21, 2018, #Male, #Ari and #Baa Atoll #FullTrip Vol.2

The day 3, we started a day with the 1st dive of the day at Dhega Thila in the Baa Atoll, where we can easily find many of Longnose Hawkfish. However my favorite here is Black Coral Shrimps. Besides Bluefin Trevallies were atacking small fish at where the current hit. Then, we got to go to the Hanifaru Bay because we heard that there were about a dozen of Manta Rays before the 2nd dive. Luckily, we were the only group in the area at that time, we exclusively enjoyed whole one hour to snorkel with Manta Rays. The 2nd dive was at Dhonfanu Gaa. We, again, encountered with a Manta Ray but it swam away quickly. And we found another Manta Ray after we observed a big Green Turtle, which we have seen here often. The 3rd dive was at Dharavandhoo Manta Point. The Harlequin Sweetlips were getting cleaned at the cleaning station, unfortunately not Manta. We saw the schools of Bigeye Trevallies, Humpback Red Snappers and Oriental Sweetlips as well. The 4th dive was a night dive at Dhonfanu Rock.  It was such a Shrimp and Crab paradise! I found the Red Reef Lobster, which I really wanted to see! It was such a gorgeous lobster with big claws. The guests were attracted by Flatworms and White-Spotted Hermit Crabs. And I was surprised by witnessed a Moray Eel preying a Tomato Hind. Can’t stop wondering how the Moray Eel finishes the Tomato Hind, which is much bigger than him. Did it swallowed in one go??  To be continued…
