[#Maldives] Trip Report : SEP.14 – 23, 2019, #Male – #Ari – #Baa Full Trip Vol.4

Day 4, we were halfway of the trip.  The 1st dive of the day was at Rasdhoo Madivaru in the Rasdhoo atoll, which was designated as a protected area. The Tiera Batfish welcomed us. There were a lot of Grey Reef Sharks and Whitetip Sharks.  Spotted Eagle Rays and Black-blotched Stingrays were also appeared one after another in the mid-layer. Besides, Bigeye Barracudas, Garden Eels, Dracula Shrimp Gobbies and Aurora Partner Shrimp Gobbies were observed. The 2nd dive was at Kan Thila in the North Ari atoll. The Moontail Bullseyes were spread like a carpet. Because of their protective coloration, we could enjoy seeing of the dark red carpet and the white carpet. The Grey Reef Sharks were passing by closely. Plus, gigantic Dogtooth Tunas were seen as well. The 3rd dive was at Fish Head. False Moorish Idols, Neon Fusiliers and Yellowback Fusiliers were making a big wall. Then, we moved to the other wall, colored yellow by the Bengal Snappers. At the top of the reef, there was a very hungry Hawksbill Sea Turtle. The 4th dive was at Fesdhoo Goni as a night dive aiming for Manta Rays. The guests were well explained about the difference between Giant Manta Ray and Reef (Alfred) Manta Ray so that they could enjoy the dive with another point of view. Total 3 Reef Manta Rays came to say good night to us. The air temperature was 26-31 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. The 3mm or 5 mm wetsuit was recommended. The visibility was 10-30m.  To be continued…
