[Maldives] Trip Report : NOV. 3-10, 2018, Northern Explorer Route Vol.3

[#Maldives] Trip Report : NOV. 3-10, 2018, #Northern Explorer Route Vol.3

The day 5, we moved from #Noonu Atoll to the #Lhaviyani Atoll. The 1st dive of the day was at Kuredo Express. It became the first time channel dive for this trip. The current was out going, but still the condition was great. At first, a big Grey Reef Shark appeared, then, a school of Collare Butterflyfish were seen at the reef. The 2nd dive was at Fushifaru Corner.  We could see a couple of Manta Rays from the surface already! The current was very strong but we could observe the Manta Rays whole dive time. The 3rd dive was at Ship Yard. There are 2 wrecks sunken here. We can’t go inside but many fish to observe. Especially the cute Cheeked Pipefish were seen everywhere! Besides, a sleeping Tawny nurse shark were found in between one of the wrecks and a reef.

The day 6, we came back to the #Baa Atoll. The 1st dive of the last day for this trip was at Kihaa Rock in the Baa Atoll. We can easily observe big schools of Bluestripe Snappers, Bengal Snappers and Five-lined Snappers at a time. It is fun to check their difference. The 2nd dive was at Dhonfanu Rock. We changed our plan to this site because we heard of the sign of Manta Rays here. Unfortunately we could not find them but we found Multi-bared Pipefish instead. The 3rd dive was at Dhonfanu Thila. It was very relaxing. Three big Napoleon were found. The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 27-28 deg.C.

Thank you all for joining us and also for making this trip amazing! Hope to see you all again!
