[#Maldives] Trip Report : SEP. 13-21, 2018, #Male, #Ari and #Baa Atoll #FullTrip Vol.1

Hi, we had a fantastic Full trip, which covered Male, Ari and north Baa Atoll, with the guests from Hong Kong! This route is our original, we made it! We had a great start with the 1st dive at Fish Tank in the North Male Atoll with clear blue sky, no wind and no wave!  There were many many fish as always. The visibility wasn’t so great though. A Napoleon welcomed us. We said hello to the highly-occupied Moray Eels, the school of False Moorish Idols and Sharksuckers! My favorite here is Tiger Snake Eel! It sounds very cool, isn’t it? We quickly left for the Baa Atoll after the 1st dive. I enjoyed to see all the underwater gadgets the Hong Kong divers had on the boat! Very high-tech!

The day 2, when we woke up we found us in the Baa Atoll! Yay! The 1st dive of the day was at Dhigu Thila, where the long wall continued like the Great Wall. The regular Redtoothed Triggerfish welcomed us. There were even baby ones too. Interesting! Besides, a Spotted Eagle Ray passed by gorgeously. The 2nd dive was at Dhonfanu Thila with the current from west. It is always exciting to see Giant Trevallies and Bluefin Trevallies attacking the school of Fusiliers and Scads. We finally spotted Manta Ray as we came back to the reef. Hooray! Before the 3rd dive we lucked out in snorkeling with a Whale Shark!!  It was such a lucky day! The 3rd dive was at Dharavandhoo Manta Point. We again spotted with 3 Manta Rays at their cleaning station! The 4th dive was a night dive at Kakan Thila. We observed many of endemic Sponge Snails. They are seen night time more than day time.

The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 28-29 deg.C. To be continued…
