The day 3, we had the 1st dive of the day at the Dhega Thila, one of the hidden reeves (which called Thila,) in the Baa Atoll. We enjoyed to observe many Longnose Hawkfish. Much more increased number of Luminous Cardinalfish were getting attacked by the school of Bluefin Trevallies. On the top of the reef, we healed by the beautiful dance of Anthias. The 2nd dive was at Dharavandhooo Thila. Because of the nice current circumstance, there were plethora of Neon and Variable-lined Fusiliers as if we were diving in the fusiliers’ farm! There were also the hunters such as Giant Trevallies and Bluefin Trevallies. Besides, about a dozen of Spotted Eagle Rays were seen before our safty stop. The 3rd dive was at Dhigu Thila. The observation of endemic species was fun! My favorite was the cute Starry Dragonet. We also saw Napoleon, a school of Collare Butterflyfish and Redtoothed Triggerfish during the drift dive in the second half.
The day 4, the 1st dive of the day was at Kihaa Rock in the Baa Atoll. It was raining but it didn’t matter in the water as always. We enjoyed to see a big overhang and the soft corals around it. The 2nd dive was at Hanifaru Out. We could see many Fire Gobies. And the one surprised me especially was the Exquisite Firefish, which was the Indian Ocean version of Elegant firefish. The 3rd dive was at Dhonfanu Rock. We could encounter with a gigantic Sea Turtle. The celebration for one of the guests who had her the 100th memorable dive went well at the dinner table. Congratulations! The air temperature was 26-33 deg.C. The water temperature was 27-29 deg.C. To be continued…
