#Maldives Trip Report : DEC. 09-16 2017, #Male-#Ari-#Vaavu Route Vol.2

The day 2 was a long day for us starting with an early Hammerhead Shark search and concluding with a night dive! We woke up early morning for the 1st dive of the day at Rasdhoo Madivaru in #Rasdhoo Atoll aiming for Hammerhead Sharks. There were many of Bignose Unicornfish approached us. Sorry, we were here not for you guys. And my eyes caught something! That was it! Hammerhead Sharks! A couple of them. Hooray! The early bird gets the worm! The 2nd dive was at Kan Thila in North Ari Atoll. We made the guests’ request about Spotted Eagle Ray come true! Besides, schools of Sea Goldies, Indian Frame Fairy Basslets, Indian Bannerfish, Barracudas, Bigeye Barracudas and Grey Reef Sharks we encountered with! It was the first time for me to be able to swim with a Spotted Eagle Ray for that long closely. Awesome! The 3rd dive was at Fish Head. Giant Trevallies and Bluefin Trevallies were attacking a school of Bannerfish. We could encounter with a Spotted Eagle Ray here as well. We tried not to bother the regular Green Turtles snack time but he didn’t care about us at all anyway! After the beautiful sunset, we enjoyed the 4th dive as a night dive at Fesdhoo Goni. As we were about to exit giving up the encounter with Manta Rays, we got invited by the other boat for Manta Ray! Although it was just a little bit of time, still great to see Manta Ray! To be continued…
